We are only registered in NJ. We are bonded in PA and are going through the process of becoming a registered entity there. We cannot legally take clients outside of the jurisdiction in which we are registered.
We are not legally allowed to guarantee an exact time frame. We can give you a "good faith estimate" of how long it could take and/or the average that we have seen.
Again, we cannot legally give an exact answer on this. There are too many variables involved, and everyone's case is different. We can explain this in detail with a consultation.
No, you never need to purchase authorized user status. Ask a family member or friend. The credit card companies allow that. It is actually a violation of most credit card policies to participate in that. Also, because that is usually used to give a false appearance, score-wise, to the banks, that can get into bank fraud, for which some have gone to jail. We certainly don't want that, and we assume you don't either.
It is illegal to pay for any credit repair services up front! We must always perform the work stated in the contract, according to the pay schedule specified, before we can receive payment. We go over all of that in our detailed contract.
If you have a thin credit file, or you simply need to build good credit to counteract some negative items, then we will carefully go over that with you. Please do not apply for any accounts without first speaking with us. That can have a negative impact on the work we are attempting to do. In fact, most times, we will dismiss you from our services if such occurs. That can put us in a very strange position.
First, we do not remove anything from your credit file. We can only assist in the removal of... This being said, there are times, as we are working in credit repair, when things are not under our control. For example, we may ask for an account to be updated, but the creditor may chose to remove it. If that account held good history, that can cause a drop in your score. We cannot control that. The creditor has the right to do that.
Also, scores fluctuate. There may be times when something simply has not reported yet, but we have pulled the credit report. We like to tell our clients that, while the credit score is important, it is also important to have a healthy credit file. Sometimes, in cleaning up the file, a score may drop along the way. That is part of the process. At that point, the work of rebuilding begins. That is not necessarily indicative of a bad credit repair company.
Absolutely not! A credit sweep often involves saying that accounts do not belong to the consumer, thus giving the impression that identity theft has taken place. Now, if an account truly does not belong, that is ok. It is when people are untruthful, so that they can get a quick jump in their score, that things go very wrong.
You see, once the credit bureaus receive any communication even implying that identity theft may have taken place, they have to "sweep" the credit file clean of anything that is reporting due to that supposed identity theft. Then, they investigate. Some rogue credit repair companies use this tactic to, unfortunately, make a quick buck and, as soon as the investigation is over, the negative items are placed back on the consumers credit file, but they have already spent their money.
Another thing that can happen is that, sometimes, a police report is required. Now, you can see the obvious problem with filing a false police report. (Again, if your identity has truly ben stolen, then this does not apply to your situation.)
Finally, if you open an account during the time when the accounts were removed, due to the fraudulent reporting and subsequent boost in the credit score, you (along with the credit repair company) can be charged with fraud and go to jail.
Yes, if you are going to utilize the services of our company, you will have to enroll in and maintain an account with our suggested credit monitoring provider. That is what we use to pull your credit report into our system.
Absolutely yes, you can work on your credit on your own! Most people like the added comfort of having someone else do it. However, we offer DIY services. You can utilize our portal, while simply working on your own. The value is that you only pay the monthly fee for the credit monitoring. You will not be charged for credit repair, since you will be doing it on your own. The portal gives you access to some of the features that we would use while working. Who knows...you may even want to start your own credit repair company. We can also assist you with that.
